~ About the Network ~ I am Mary, mom to 7 great kids living in north central Illinois. For much of the time I was raising my children, I was working a full time job. In addition, for many years, I was an independent consultant for quite a few companies. I loved having home parties and it was a lot of fun, but it was difficult to manage around my full time job and my family. When I was finally able to quit working full time in 2004, I found it even harder to get back into the home party circuit. I was pregnant and on a message board for women due at the same time. It seemed that so many had the same questions, so I decided to put many of the answers on a small free-webs site. An online friend saw what I had put together and suggested I put a "real" website together and in August 2004, Beyond Pregnancy was born. In January 2007 I founded Mom's Online Mall, which was intended to be a resource for WAHMs as well as a showcase for WAHM products. The more it expanded, the more it became apparent that a network of sites was developing. And thus the M.O.M. Network (shortened from Mom's Online Mall) arrived on the scene in May 2009. Since helping and promoting WAHMs was the main focus of the Mall, it is only logical that the network that rose out of it become a huge resource for the WAHM community. In June 2009, I was offered the opportunity to purchase the WAHM Coffee Club. While it seemed to have been intended as an advertising outlet, I felt it could be better used as a "coffee club" for WAHMs to gather, share and have fun, as well as showcase their businesses. It seemed to fit perfectly with the M.O.M. Network and offers exclusive memberships so that WAHMs can gather spam free. |
